ABOUT THE RABBI
Rabbi Kalman Green was born in Johannesburg and holds dual South African / Canadian citizenship. He was director of Chabad House activities in Cape Town from January 1989 to January 2003 and involved in the conceptualising and implementation of all of their many activities. He has extensive experience in lecturing, teaching (both at Herzlia and Hebrew Academy) and counselling (Nechama and anti-cult) and both he and his wife, Nicole, are well known in the Cape Town community. He has studied at Hebrew University, Israel and received his Smicha from both Pretoria and Jerusalem. He is dedicated to furthering the knowledge of Judaism in a user-friendly yet proactive way. As well as his rabbinical position with the Constantia Hebrew Congregation, he has a position as Cape Town Prisons Chaplain. |
